This character-based story grabs you right from the beginning and doesn’t let go. Nora is such a likable lead. She is a take-charge kind of person and is surrounded by a wonderful group of very supportive secondary characters.
The last book in this series, Tried & True, is due out in the fall. I can’t wait—even though I’ll be really sad to see this series end. I have so many questions: Can Nora keep those she loves safe from harm? Will the bad guys come after Nora? Do Nora and Walt have a future? What about Skip, Nora’s missing money-laundering husband? Will he make an appearance or will he take off for parts unknown? It is important to read these books in order—but that’s not a hardship since each one is so entertaining. Happy reading!

I like this series. It is warm, fairly realistic, with chilling events, nice people and some definitely not nice people. Looking forward to the next book!
Fun little series for light reading.
Complex story line covering multiple volumes of this series. Suggest you start with book 1 to really understand the entire story and the characters as they develop.
I have read everything Jerusha Jones has published. I absolutely recommend her work. She never disappoints. If you enjoy a good mystery with characters you truly like, Ms. Jones' books are for you. I wish she could write faster.
I fully enjoyed this series about a resilient young woman who rises to the challenge when she finds out the husband who has disappeared (kidnapped by hoodlums?) is really...well, you'll have to read it. I loved all the characters and hope for more in this series.
The denizens of this book are interesting and the plot is readable. I didn't mind the fact nobody cussed, or slept around. Mayfield is a bit too nice for me to spend much time there though. Shelved the book before I finished and wasn't anxious about returning in a hurry.
